Trebek and Jennings both recounted the memoirs of the former, published by Simon & Schuster. Although the publisher submitted both the Peril! host and champion, only Jennings received the name. Jennings was among the industry figures to receive Grammy Awards, alongside Jerry Seinfeld, Tiffany Haddish and Meryl Streep.

News of Jenning’s Grammy nomination for Trebek memoir came less than two days later Peril! Officials have announced that the GOAT Q&A will be the first guest invited to resume the series when it returns to production on November 30.

Deadline reached out to Simon & Schuster to comment on Trebek’s omission.
