England vs. World Cup Final: Did the judges get a wrong rollover rule?

There is a huge outcry against the Super Over rule that was used in the final of the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup between England and New Zealand on Sunday, July 14th.
Legendary referee Simon Taufel said the referees' decision on the ground to award 6 points for the controversial reversal of the final of England's pursuit against New Zealand in the World Cup final 2019 is an "error of judgment".
The 2019 World Cup final at Lord's in London ended with a draw and Super Over was used for the first time at ODI cricket to designate new world champions. Interestingly, the Super Over between England and New Zealand also ended in a draw and England was crowned champion because of the higher number of borders affected when the final.
