Epic appeals Apple’s decision on App Store rules

Epic may have scored a notable victory in their lawsuit against Apple, but they are dissatisfied enough to continue the legal battle. The edge reports that Epic has appealed the decision. The original notice did not explain how the Fortnite developer was challenging the decision, but there were a number of areas that left the company unhappy.

Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers’ ruling determined that Epic had to pay $ 3.65 million in damages for breaking Apple’s rules banning integrated third-party payment systems, plus 30% of all Epic has won thanks to its internal payment system from November 2020.
