Since the X-4 Storming was presented at Fortnite on December 6th, Epic Games has not stopped hearing the end of the debates on the inclusion of the aircraft in the Royal Battle. But that could end soon.

At a Reddit AMA on February 22, Eric Williamson, Design Manager at Fortnite, confirmed that the X-4 Stormwing would be backed up early in Season 8.

This announcement was a surprise to many because, although controversial for professionals, the X-4 has become a way more and more used by casual gamers to have fun.

The controversial planes will finally leave Fortnite at the start of season 8.

The announcement of Stormwing and its update prompted players to propose a new element that would lead the battle to heaven. But the implementation quickly prompted some people to use unfair tactics with the plane to camp in the sky up to the last circle.

The X-4 also brought a multitude of insects to the game, ranging from instant dead to unusable items, etc. Very soon after its release, the players started to turn against Hurricane Aiguille, asking them to leave the game faster than it had happened.

Williamson's announcement sparked a polarizing fervor on the part of the community, with some cheering that the planes were finally anchored, while others were disappointed that the developer was giving in to a "vocal minority".

"You listen too much to the vocal minority," said 2roK, a Reddit user. "I feel that so many fun things have been veiled lately and that there is no end in sight.Do you know that you are slowly killing the game of casual gamers by offering so much to competitive gamers? lately?"

As season 8 approaches, Williamson advises players to make their last innings before the next Fortnite era that locks the storm-storm for a moment.
