Epic Games co-founder and vice-president Mark Rein reacted after being criticized for his "lack of realism" as anger continued around the mech BRUTE at Fortnite.
Since the start of its tenth season, the Royal Battle of Epic Games has been widely criticized for the implementation of the BRUTE mechs. However, on August 15, Epic Games provided an update of their "strong philosophy".
The update basically explains that they are trying to create a game environment in which everyone can win a royal victory. This provoked further negative reactions from the community, some of which targeted Rein, especially after noticing that he liked a tweet that said "Epic Games" has no obligation to do so. 39, listen to the community.

The tweet that Rein appreciated said that Epic had "no obligation to obey" what the community wanted.
The tweet showing Rein's preferences on Twitter came at the origin of 'Cowboy', a Fortnite Twitch streamer.
Pacifist, Fortnite's overtime professional, responded to Cowboy's tweet saying, "He's a super nice and realistic guy. I met him at the WC. Unfortunately, he is disconnected from what the competitive scene needs to thrive. "
Cowboy replied that "no one who is pro mech is a nice guy".
However, Rein seemed to contradict this exchange, explaining that the simple fact of loving the tweet does not mean that he is "pro mech", nor a defender of the ignorance of the community.

The point of Rein is just, since a "like" on Twitter does not necessarily indicate an agreement, although it is typical.
However, it is unlikely that more cynical community members will buy Rein's response, as Epic's vice president would never refrain from posting a tweet that essentially advocated ignoring the community.

The BRUTEs were added to give the less skilled players a chance to win the royal victory.
It is fair to say that the Fortnite community is annoyed by the Mechs and wants to see an important nerve, or even its complete elimination.
Epic seems to be strong and rejects any accusations from the community that she "kills" her game, as some Fortnite creators have suggested.
