Epic launches the FortniteXJumpman crossover with Air Jordan 1 wearing skins

The season 9 of Fortnite has already presented a crossover event – with John Wick – The developer Epic Games unveiled Wednesday a new event on the theme of basketball.

The latest update of the Epic game launched the FortniteXJumpman event, featuring new skins dressed in Jordan sneakers and limited-time Downtown Drop mode.

The two new outfits are Grind and Clutch. Both include Nike Air Jordan 1 in different color combinations, including the famous "Lakers" and "Bulls" colors, which are based on NBA teams.

Downtown Drop is different from other Fortnite modes in that its goal is to browse the New York inspired streets to collect coins and items rather than trying to kill the other 99 players. Fashion has its own challenges of collecting a number of pieces and applying paint to sections of the street and walls. There are several Downtown Drop challenges available on Wednesday with more unlock in the next few days. Players who perform these tasks will be offered spray paint patterns and back bling for their characters to give them more style.

In addition to the new mode and new skins, the v9.10 update added Hot Spots, which are named slots that will now have loot mounts containing high-end weapons. Epic also brought back the semi-automatic sniper rifle and adjusted the ghost bomb and shotgun. There were also various fixes for all versions of the game.

On Tuesday, the players saw a new message of the day published by Epic: "The game recognizes the game. See you tomorrow." The image used for the news was the iconic Jumpman logo used by Nike for the Michael Jordan sneakers. Epic too tweeted On Tuesday, an image using only a series of emoticons: a goat, a basketball, a sneaker and a red triangle (icymi, "goat" means "the greatest of all times "- and icymi means" in case you missed it ").

This is not the first time that Fortnite has a basketball theme. Last July, in season 5Epic added the opportunity to shoot basketball. Epic also released the Jumpshot and Triple Threat basketball skins in Season 4.
