Eric Church was not happy with Morgan Wallen when he found himself in another scandal.
The promising country has aroused public ire on several occasions over the past few months for a variety of reasons – including partying without a face mask – but nothing more than when it was caught using the n-word on a video.
This ordeal led to Wallen’s talent agency severing ties, his music was pulled from some radio stations and was deemed ineligible for the upcoming Academy of Country Music Awards.
Now Church, 43, has reacted to the “7 Summers” singer’s use of racial insult in an interview with Billboard.

“It was indefensible. I was heartbroken when this happened,” he said. “I think Morgan is trying to work on that and on himself.”

The musician added: “And I hope he will.”
Additionally, the outlet reports that Church sent Wallen a note after the video was leaked, telling him he was praying for him and encouraging him to continue to “stay in there.”
Wallen cited Church as an influence of his sound in the past.

Church isn’t the only country music icon to speak out against the use of insult. Vince Gill recently appeared on “CBS This Morning” and condemned the action.
