Eric McCormack said Whoopi Goldberg has gone too far in equating his call with a list of people participating in a Trump fundraising event at McCarthyism – but he still wants to know who gives a lot of money to the Prez.
The star of "Will & Grace" was at LAX on Wednesday when he reacted to the backlash that he received … and stated that his words had been misinterpreted and that he was trying absolutely not to create another blacklist in Hollywood.
Eric explains it as follows: his original tweet was meant to be a call for transparency so that he could know where AssetThe largest donations come from … for personal benefit.
He suggests that if he knows who is spending money to help POTUS, he will know that he will not spend his time and money with these people. Eric notes that it's a free country … others are free to make their own choices.

Whoopi did not really buy this reasoning earlier this week on "The View". She blamed the actor for taking it out of people because he did not like those for whom they had voted, adding … "We can talk about problems, but we do not print lists. "
She then hinted at what Eric – and his teammate, Debra Messing, who had a similar tweet – was similar to what happened in the United States in the 1950s.
…. said what she had done, even while being in a much more rated show she would have been ejected from the TV. Will Fake News NBC allow a McCarthy-style racist to continue? ABC returned Roseanne. Look at the double standard!

Speaking of Messing … the President conferred on him the punch bag on the blacklist charges, instead of McCormack.
Watch the clip – Eric might want to pause on Twitter.
