Erika Jayne believed her ex-husband Tom Girardi had been ill for years following a disastrous car accident in 2017.

The reality TV star, 50, made the shocking revelation during a group dinner at Kyle Richards’ home on Wednesday’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” admitting to women that she hadn’t told them the truth about the accident that left Girardi, now 82, unconscious for 12 hours.

“I called you up and said, ‘Tom was in a car accident,’ which is true, but I just didn’t tell you the rest,” she told Richards, 52 years old, at the table in front of an old clip of the casting. discuss Girardi’s broken ankle played.

“As a result of the accident, his ankle broke,” she said, muttering: “He was also unconscious for 12 hours, but no one knows.”

Jayne told her stunned co-stars that she was the one who found the now disgraced lawyer unconscious.

“He had a head injury, and he broke his shoulder, broke his ankle and broke his collarbone,” she said. “He fell off a cliff.

Jayne explained that Girardi rolled down the hill and was separated from the car when she found him. She thought he was driving home and made a wrong turn on a winding road.

“When he finally called me, I said, ‘Where were you? “I was just assuming he was with another woman,” she told her cast mates.

The singer went on to claim that she found evidence Girardi was cheating on her around the same time her friend and former “RHOBH” co-star Yolanda Hadid divorced David Foster.

While she did not have the strength to leave him at the time, Jayne finally filed for divorce from Girardi in November 2020.

The former “Chicago” star told Richards in a previous episode that she felt she had no choice but to end the marriage after seeing Girardi “going downhill” before her eyes and refusing to get help. She believed he was having trouble seeing, among other problems.

Girardi is now under guardianship due to what his family described in court documents as a “major neurocognitive disorder”.

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
