Welterweight supremacy is on the line Saturday night in Arlington, Texas, when Unified Champion Errol Spence Jr. faces Danny Garcia in the main event of a Fox PPV. It will be Spence’s first fight (26-0, 21 KOs) since the horrific car crash in October 2019, when he managed to escape largely unharmed.
For Garcia, it’s once again a division-leading opportunity after losing two tough decisions to Shawn Porter and Keith Thurman in the previous 147-pound title shots. “Swift” (36-2, 21 KOs) notched a pair of wins over Ivan Redkach and Adrian Granados since losing to Porter in September 2018. It’s an important showdown in the division with lingering champions like Terence Crawford and Manny Pacquiao eager to unify the four titles.
