Front Office Sports reports that ESPN anchor Sage Steele has “been taken out of the air.”
The midday “SportsCenter” co-host is expected to be away for at least a week, sources said. Steele is also expected to skip her turn as host of the espnW: Women + Sports Summit, which takes place October 18-20. Front Office Sports reports that Steele apologized on Tuesday: “I know my recent comments have created controversy for the company, and I apologize,” Steele wrote.
