The American broadcaster will continue with the imported series for a third season while the Canadian Global also took up the drama with Luke Roberts for another cycle
. The Renewal Ransom comes as CBS continues to support the original programming on Saturdays typically little-watched. Season two of the show created by David Vainola and Frank Spotnitz, attracted an average of 2.4 million viewers during his April-June tour on the network.
The third season of 13 episodes will resume production in October first year next year on Global in Canada and CBS in the United States

Ransom is a cheap imported series that allows CBS to broadcast the drama at a party that is not accompanied by 39, high expectations.
Ransom is inspired by the professional experiences of crisis negotiator Laurent Combalbert, who, along with his partner, Marwan Mery, are among the best negotiators in the world.
