Following hotel chains, restaurants and airlines, Disney has announced plans to eliminate plastic straws in all its parks held and exploited in the world by mid-2019
. In a blog post, Disney has come up with a broad plan to join the global fight against plastic pollution that will include the ban on plastic straws for single use and sticks in theme parks around the world.
175 million straws and 13 million plastic shakers a year.
In its hotels and cruise ships, the company also announced a plastic reduction strategy that will include the transition to refillable equipment in the rooms. the parks and cruise ships on board, and guests will be offered the opportunity to buy reusable bags.
