Monkeys enjoy a new home at Dudley Zoo

SOMETIMES, the grbad is greener on the other side, as discovered by a group of primates gelada of the Dudley Zoo.

The gelada swapped their houses with the Sulawesi crested macaques to give the nine geladas better access to the greenery necessary for grazing.

The pbadage to the grbady bank beneath the zoo's iconic chairlift gave an alpha male, Ebano, an impressive view of one of the ripe ash trees.

Jodie Dryden, principal guardian of the primates, said: "Geladas are the only species of primates to graze and love the green grbad and trees of their new home.

"They have full access to the grbady shore that looks remarkably like the habitat of their wild cousins, who graze in the mountainous meadows of Ethiopia.

"The transition has been very successful and the geladas also like to see our visitors. They do not hesitate to sit at the window of their inner lair.
