Indian drummers made a good start with the bat during the four-day training match against Australia XI at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Thursday, while Prithvi Shaw, Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara each scored half a century. After the first day was swept by the rain Wednesday, the two teams clashed 30 minutes earlier on Thursday. The hosts won the draw and made their home.

India did not get the best of KL Rahul who was fired for three points. Fashion designer Jackson Coleman got his first wicket in the game. Pujara and Shaw hit in the middle, the latter being the aggressor and scoring half a century fast. The boy was fired by Daniel Fallins at age 66. Nurse Virat Kohli continued building the partnership with Pujara, who was fired at age 54 by Like Robbins.

Hanuma Vihari and Ajinkya Rahane added 50 points in 74 balls before the close of the session to bring India to 257/4 at Tea.

The match does not have the status of first clbad and India has chosen to put 14 players at its disposal. India will face Australia in the first test of the four-match series, starting on December 6, 2018.
