Since the first photos of Deepika Padukone and the wedding of Ranveer Singh arrived more than 15 days ago, fans have not stopped breathing, dazzled by their clothing choices. From the golden Kanjeevarams of southern South India to the work of Banharasi Resham (silk) to elaborate lehenga, Deepika sticks to red and ivory for her wedding events. The actor chose the designer duo Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla at its reception in Mumbai on Wednesday.
She wore a chikankari lehenga saree in hand-embroidered silk chiffon with a chaadar elaborated as dupatta (draped over her head with a long trail). Although the images that appear since the November 28 reception show us the dress in detail, they do not do justice to the hard work and spectacular hand embroidery that was done there. Now, the designer duo has shared a video that closely shows the know-how.

While the camera is panning, we see a sea of Swarovski crystals, glitter and gold zardozi uniting to create the saree. A Times Now report says that it is a manual work of female Lucknow embroiderers and that it was made in the tradition of weaving Ton Sur Ton. His blouse was also in gold and ivory richly embroidered to enhance the overall appeal. Deepika had badociated her clothes with a refined diamond and pearl necklace from the designer's Saboo collection. Not to mention his ear rings dusted.
It should be noted that Deepika's parents and sister were all dressed in Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla, while Ranveer and his parents opted for Rohit Bal. The clothes of both families seem to have been matched with the colors – the Padukone opted for ivory and gold and the Bhavnanis (except Ranveer) picking black, gold and silver.
Deepika and Ranveer had a destination wedding at Lake Como, Italy, November 14-15, in accordance with Konkani and Sikh traditions. They held a reception in Bengaluru on 21 November and followed another in Mumbai on 28 November. The last of their wedding ceremonies will be a great reception for their industry friends on Dec. 1.
