(Reuters) – Britvic Plc's (BVIC.L) Sales for the year were up 5.1% and outperformed badysts' forecasts, as sales of non-sugared beverages increased as consumers opted for healthier options.
The UK soft drink producer said Thursday it sold 1.29 billion liters of soft drinks in Britain during the year, up 1 percent from a year earlier.
Britvic offers more and more low-calorie, fruit-based and dairy-based beverages as it targets a growing number of health-conscious consumers who are dropping sugar-sweetened beverages.
Its Pepsi brand soft drinks, led by sugar-free MAX, continued to gain market share, the company said.
The company's sales reached £ 1.50 billion as of September 30 and exceeded £ 1.45 billion estimated by 17 badysts on average, Britvic said.
Adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) increased 5.4% to 206 million pounds sterling for the year ended September 30th.
