Ethiopia: Let the raw emotions come down … for the reason and the law to prevail

By Samuel Estefanous

Our Prime Minister is a phenomenal shaker and the ultimate motor. I do not say that to buy my views and myself to the "good grace" of the volatile and "infamous" multitude insinuating myself to the wave of presumed popular will – the way a couple "guard gumtu" EPRDFites do. I say what I mean and I mean what I say. It's the beauty of being rootless, faceless and penniless … and we are not just in the slanted majority, we are the silent voice of the silent majority – remember the 99 %? They are kind and quiet and rarely go down the street or tend to hit the airwaves …

Frustrated remnants of the old opposition and bizarre and misplaced "new" skeptics are trying to discredit him. Just because he served the Front with 'eyes tightly closed and lips securely sealed', the first echo the old saying that nothing 'good' could not really come from the Front's domain. These forces think that they are blind and are watching the entire unprecedented popular wave of support for one of their own with an incredible level of suspicion and a considerable degree of feeling and uselessness.

The old guard of the EPRDF is indeed "irrelevant" and unable to "digest" Dr. Abiy's velvet revolution. It was like they were caught off guard by a fleet of Trojans tied in their own backyard for three decades.

Indeed, how could an EPRDF win the heart and soul of the overwhelming fanatical opposition? But he did, is not it? Swallow has fallen hard, this guy is here to stay! And that's a lesson. EPRDFs are not extraterrestrial. With their endless intrigue, trivial tribalism and arrogance, many of them appear as the dominant national character. That 's why some of us argue that the Front is essentially an Ethiopian phenomenon – Zamana Masafnit writes wholesale. Still, he is able to raise and groom someone like Dr. Abiy. Never forget that it is not a lonely lonely lonely path messie. There are more … I mean really more … whether we like it or not – it's a movement.

That said, for the sake of the Nation and to help keep it going, I would very much like to note the following:

First, we are all in the same boat. Over the past three decades, we have sought redemption by investing heavily in our differences. We were a bit too fast – shamelessly too fast – to show off our birthmarks. We would go ridiculously far to display the presumed "greatness" of our respective tribes.

We would demand a fair and accurate obligation on the basis of these grounds. Some who chose not to be labeled and labeled were categorically and summarily denounced as "National and Nationality Wreckers", the reactionary remnants of the time.

Counterforce was anything but rational. The cause was born of a blind consumer hatred and naturally unable to induce any positive change except serve as a momentary means to "unload" toxic feelings. We all benefit from "service" in one way or another. We have all pushed the Nation to the edge of the abyss and it is up to each of us to bring it back.

Second, are they a troop of emotional devotees? You bet we are! I will not lie. The prime minister commands a troop of emotional devotees. Maybe I am one of them. Maybe we are all. But dear detractors, have you ever stopped to ask yourself the number of Ethiopians who had suffered emotionally from the EPRDF?

You do not know what it's like to not be an EPRDF. The cadres make their political serenade every day blessed. If you botched, a "help" to His Excellency would take notes, if you express a skeptical idea to a clearly unsustainable project, you are summarily declared unable to attemptarto makedena betifr komo mefetsem.

I do not even speak of the sovereign government of national security. They are a shame for the human race. Certainly not all, but a considerable number of them – judging by the horrible stories of torture told and told by the victims. For the health of my mind and my heart, I have long stopped reading anything related to this institution. Poor general Adem, he's trying to do a big spring cleaning … I wonder if he'll come out of this dungeon in one piece.

The Ethiopians have consciously lost sight of the fact that the EPRDFs have developed into the New Clean Clbad and it barely needs proof. We all know that the diplomatic missions of Ethiopia are spread all over the world. It has become a lucrative family business.

No wonder, we are all emotional patients suffering from the systematic injustice perpetrated by the government coalition. In the midst of all these trials, Dr. Abiy comes aboard and unequivocally pleads Mea Culpa in almost all the indictments on behalf of and on behalf of the Front.

By this noble gesture, he healed our collective suffering and we are sure to become emotional to varying degrees … but there is time for everything. It is now time for all of us to let our emotions calm down and prepare for the omnipotence of good governance.

Third, for the sake of God, do not try to rectify. You know that we all have the right to attack the Constitution. And the one I take the liberty of questioning, is the "rectifying mind" of the supreme law of the land

Do you remember the newly released, recently amputated student who had lost both his legs for a reason we will never be able to sound or understand? He said, "It has to stop, my suffering is enough!"

Every released prisoner declares, "Enough already, more retribution please!"

And I ask why should the Constitution of the Federal Republic not take care of this generosity and reject the spirit of retribution of its Clause? Dr. Abiy really spoke as an "angel". in a spiritual environment and not as an EPRDFite, you know why? In the circumstances to heal the oozing wounds of the Nation, this is the only way a liberator of the Nation should speak. Had he spoken in EPRDF, we would have spit. That's why he is our undisputed collective leader. So, fell like, let's light a new track without any bitter emotional baggage weighing on us.

The other day I heard a group of rude bruised souls trying to talk about others on behalf of Dr.Abiy and I was like These are the very same threats to the noble Cause of the Movement. Let's deny these "fake devotees" from any meaningful forum.

Fourth, political daring is not recklessness. Some "sober" leaders try to downplay the Prime Minister's achievements by claiming that his measures are dictated by populist programs. I do not agree. These programs have been running for three decades or more.

Moreover, even if they are, they are, to say the least, of a good nature. They aim to free political prisoners without taking any. They are about to forge united states – not to divide them. They tend to come together and not separate.

Remember that the Dergue and the EPRDF began their respective reigns by rounding up and incarcerating not by breaking chains and the like.

So I say Dr.Abiy's quick radical gestures are not political recklessness, but virtuous audacity! But to help him DELIVER, let us suppress our raw emotions. God bless
