Sophia Florsch will be replaced by Carrie Schreiner in training the HWA ABB FIA Formula E team for the test that will follow the Ad Diriyah E-Price next month.

Schreiner – co-champion of the Pro-Am Lamborghini Trofeo for the 2018 Middle East, who raced in British Formula 4 in 2016 – will replace Florsch in the test while she continues to recover from the injuries that she has suffered. she suffered during the recent Macau Awards.

The tests will take place the day after the Ad Diriyah race. Additional slot machines will be awarded to teams that direct a driver in addition to their usual runners.

"I'm really looking forward to my first try with a Formula E car," said Schreiner.

"Thank you very much to HWA RACELAB for giving me this unique opportunity to test a Formula E car at Diriyah, for which I am very grateful.

"I've already driven a lot of race cars, but I'm confident that sitting for the first time driving a fully electric race car will be an absolutely unique experience.

"In the coming weeks, I will be fully focused on preparing the test as much as possible, and December 16th will not be fast enough."

Schreiner is about to share the two HWA cars with pilots Stoffel Vandoorne and Gary Paffett.

She will drive Vandoorne's car during the morning test session and the Paffett machine during the afternoon of racing.

"We are delighted to have found a good substitute for Sophia and to give this young talent the chance to gain her first experience in a series of races as exciting and forward-looking as the Formula E ", said the general manager and HWA team principal Ulrich Fritz.

"Carrie has excelled behind the wheel of many racing cars over the last few years and I'm sure she'll quickly find her bearings early on in an electric racing car.

"This weekend is a first for Carrie and for us as a team and we can not wait to get started."

"Nevertheless, we are of course thinking of Sophia, for whom we would also like to have made this test possible.

"However, the important thing is that she focuses on her quick recovery, we wish her all the best and heal us quickly."

The Dragon team is now the only remaining FE team to announce which driver they will drive in a second car for the test.

Audi and Jaguar are the only teams to participate only once during the test.
