Spanish star David Villa recently announced that he would leave the Major League Soccer team in New York City FC.

Moving to New York in 2014, he will play 124 games and score 80 goals. Villa scored 14 goals in 23 MLS matches in 2018. At age 36, "El Guaje" played for major La Liga teams such as Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona.
For his national team, he also represented Spain 98 times and scored 59 goals. He was part of the team that won the European Championship in 2008 and the FIFA World Cup in 2010.
