Clooney, who shot the Hulu miniseries 'Catch-22' in Sardinia, "goes back home and will be fine".

George Clooney was taken to hospital in Sardinia and released after being involved in an accident while he was riding on his motorcycle, hospital officials said.

"George was cared for and released from an Olbia hospital, he is recovering at home and will be fine," said Clooney's representative The Hollywood Reporter in a release Tuesday.

The John Paul II Hospital in Olbia stated that Clooney had been released on Tuesday. Local media who gathered at the hospital said Clooney would have left a side exit.

Local Newspaper Nuova Sardegna stated that Clooney, 57, was heading for a film set. Tuesday, when his scooter was hit by a car.
