Government and opposition in Ethiopia analyze electoral reforms

The meeting focused on badyzing the changes needed to ensure that the 2020 general elections are free and fair, through an equitable distribution of shared responsibilities of all, according to The Ethiopian Herald.

For the moment, opposition leaders have not commented on the results of the meeting.

Experts often point out that Ahmed has upset national politics since taking office in April by hosting exiled groups, releasing prisoners and naming Birtukan Mideksa, who has been in exile for years in the US, President of the Electoral Council.
