Harambee Starlets launch Cecafa's campaign on a bad foot

Harambee Starlets gave the kickoff to its female champions Cecafa after falling in Uganda by a lone goal.

A goalkeeper foul of Poline Atieno gave Uganda an easy goal early in the first period

Lillian Mutuuzo lobbed the ball on top of the net when she took full advantage of a bad clearance by Atieno.

Despite the domination of the game with 53% possession of the ball, Kenya left the field without showing its supremacy.

But that was the well-chipped ball of Mwahalima Adams who clearly painted a picture of a disappointing night for Starlets when the ball bounced lazily to the goalkeeper for a Neddy Atieno thought that she had tied for Kenya in the 39th minute only for the holiday to be interrupted by a yellow flag of the lineman.

The victory was a perfect revenge for Uganda who lost to Kenya in qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations (Awcon). in April 2018.
