Liverpool was beaten 2-1 by Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday, which means they now have to defeat Napoli in their last match at Anfield to qualify for the last 16.

The visitors offered very little offensive threat in Paris and were fighting for big spells to cope with the speed and accuracy of the Ligue 1 club while Juan Bernat and Neymar's goals were causing damage.

James Milner gave hope to Liverpool by scoring a penalty in the first period, but that was not enough, which means the Jurgen Klopp team has everything to do.

Liverpool were kept in the game by two excellent first stops, dominated by PSG. He dropped his feet in the back for the first goal and made a brave initial save for the second, but could not do much about tracking.

Joe Gomez – 5

Bad performance, struggled to handle the pace of PSG's attack and both goals from the first half fell to his side. Reserved for a shirt sweater on Neymar.

Dejan Lovren – 5

Caught on the center line for second goal and another player who struggles to cope with the relentless pace of the first three PSG.

Virgil van Dijk – 6

Usually the coolest player on the field, the Dutchman seemed upset at the start of the match while Liverpool was continually under pressure. Better set after the break. Reserved for a strong challenge on Dani Alves.

Andrew Robertson – 6

Like the rest of his teammates, he spent a good part of the match in less than 45 minutes. It was five minutes before denying Mbappe. Reserve.

Jordan Henderson – 5

Little imagination offered in Liverpool and too often invaded by the middle. Looked distinctly mean.

James Milner – 6.5 (subbed over 77 minutes)

As usual, a volunteer runner tried to impact Neymar very early in the competition. Penalty well taken on the halftime shot to give hope to Liverpool.

Georginio Wijnaldum – 5 (subbed over 66 minutes)

Largely anonymous and booked for a foul in the first half. No real surprise when he was abducted, just a miracle that it was not until 66^th minute.

Sadio Mane – 6

Well led by Thiago Silva, but kept moving when he could. Won the penalty that Liverpool scored.

Roberto Firmino – 5.5 (subbed over 71 minutes)

Created a great opportunity when his head in the surface of the half hour was exceeded for people in red shirt.

Mohamed Salah – 6

A few shots in the beginning, one in the net, it was a frustrating night for the Egyptian who just could not score his match of this match.
