Chopra finished fifth in the Diamond League series in Rabat (Morocco) on Friday with a best throw of 83.32m. He has four points in the Diamond League and now has a total of 12 points to place in sixth place.

A Diamond League meeting (including the javelin) is scheduled for August 18 in Birmingham but Chopra does not take part, even though the Asian Games track and field events start on August 25th. The 8 or 12 best athletes (depending on the discipline) will receive a start in the Diamond League Finals.
