Northamptonshire signs Bavuma for part of the 2019 season

Northamptonshire announced on Thursday (November 29th) that the club has used Temba Bavuma's services for eight Division 2 league games for the 2019 season of the county.

The 28 – year – old average drummer played 31 tests and two ODIs for South Africa, scoring 1488 and 161 points respectively. He also racked up 6,680 first-clbad races in 125 games, after his first-clbad debut in 2008. Bavuma was also named captain of the South African National Highveld Lions team this year.

Northamptonshire Cricket Club General Manager Ray Payne said the club had hired Bavuma in an effort to increase his chances of getting promoted in Division 1. Northamptonshire finished ninth in Division 2 at the 2018 season of the county.
