Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed met with opposition party leaders on Tuesday to discuss electoral reform.

Within two years of elections, some opposition leaders have called for accelerated electoral reforms.

More than 80 political parties, including those who have returned from exile, attended the meeting, which is expected to set the ground rules for the nation to hold credible, fair and free elections.

After coming to power in April, the youngest African leader, Abiy, promised to hold regular elections.
