Rob Gronkowski Shark Week goes swimming with sharks

Rob Gronkowski has a habit of forging his way among hardened creatures on the football field.

But soak it in the waters of the Bahamas Ocean with a school of sharks and it's a whole other ball game. Earlier in the summer season, the Patriots went to the Bahamas to film some things for Discovery Channel for Shark Week and we now have a glimpse of the kind of activities in which he gets up.

For his part, Gronk met Sam Alipour of ESPN where they both took a boat in the middle of the ocean where they went swimming with sharks.

And that he knew that there were no protective cages to protect himself from the shark. It was just Gronk, a scuba gear, an oxygen tank and three very big sharks.

Once they jumped into the water, Gronk and Alipour were immediately encountered by three sharks that surrounded them most of the time under the water. At one point, a shark even hit Gronkowski in the head with his fin, which scared a bit tight end.

"This shark has shark bites on it," Gronk said underwater. "It's a scary shark."

Clearly, Gronk – like everyone in this situation – was a little freaked out before jumping into the ocean, but once he got back on the boat, he admitted that he liked the experience.

"Wow, not bad, man," Gronk said as he came out of the water. "It was crazy."

He continued: "This adrenaline rush was just unreal, my heart sometimes when I had three sharks arriving at the same time was … ah, they swam just over my head , once I looked up and the shark was These are bad boys. "
