State of origin: Oof! The announcement of the teams for the second tranche of the state of origin this year has just announced a big news.

Brad Fittler did SEVEN change of blues for the second match at Optus Stadium in Perth. Daniel Saifiti (Newcastle Knights) and Dale Finucane (Melbourne Storm) will make their debut, while James Maloney (2018), Tom Trbojevic (2018), Tariq Sims (2018), Blake Ferguson (2017) and Wade Graham (2017) all been recalled. Latrell Mitchell has no place, despite her double scoring for the Roosters earlier in the day.

Queensland is forced to make two changes, with Joe Ofahengaue and Jai Arrow both unavailable due to injury. Tim Glasby and Jarrod Wallace enter group 17 in their place. Christian Welch, Edrick Lee and Corey Norman will also join Camp Maroon this week in the larger group.

AFL: North Melbourne 10.8 (68) v GWS 11.6 (91)

The fiery performance of North Melbourne was not enough in the end as the Giants dropped out to finish second in the Blundstone Arena. There was nothing between the two teams at the main break but the GWS clbad recounted in the second half with Josh Kelly, Tim Taranto and Stephen Congilio running all over the Kangaroos in cold conditions.

NRL: Roosters 38-12 Bulldogs

This match has always been a perfect opportunity for the Roosters to regain their mojo. This has been proven with the unfortunate Bulldogs bulldozing the SCG. The Roosters not only broke their three-game losing streak, they also saw Latrell Mitchell return to form with a two-goal five-goal record. The only drawback was a late Bulldogs try that kept the Roosters from second in the points standings, but they still outclbaded the Raiders in third place.

Cricket World Cup: This World Cup has been fun, but the English rain and the endless group stage mean it has not come to a boil yet. All this could change in a few hours with the resumption of the biggest rivalry in world sport – India vs. Pakistan. Let's hope that the skies over Manchester will clear and the puddles of Old Trafford's outer field will dry up to allow this blockbuster to move forward.

AFL: 3QT: North Melbourne 8.6 (54) v GWS 11.6 (72) – All remains to be done at the Blundstone Arena, but the clbad of GWS's silky midfielders is finally beginning to reveal itself. Josh Kelly, Tim Taranto and Stephen Coniglio are the big winners and each has at least one goal to their credit.

They had to take action because the defenders of North Melbourne made a superb change to keep the Giants long historic line of attack silent.

Cricket World Cup: Australia climbed to the top of the group stage of the World Cup cricket with a win over Sri Lanka last night, but the strategy and selection after another imperfect performance remain unanswered. The sleeves of Aaron Finch were a beauty and deserved to be replayed. At the beginning of the V, his timing was manual, then his power towards the end was brutal.

Super Netball: Swifts 59-55 Giants

Good sorrow! What a finish in Super Netball!

The top ranked Swifts have consolidated their team standing in this year's competition with a thrilling victory over rivals Crosstown, the Giants, their second of the season. The Swifts have long trailed, but fought back in the second half to secure a late win and extend their lead to ten points.

Sam Wallace scored 48 goals on 50 shots, backed by Helen Housby, 11 of 12 and 23 badists. Behind them, goaltender Sarah Klau played with four interceptions and she played a pivotal role in her team's return to competition in the third quarter, as she lost five points.

Swifts coach Briony Akle congratulated English star Housby, who spared no effort to be part of the missing teams, including captain Maddy Proud.

"We always knew that we were going to have to give the ball to the players who had been there for a little longer and that there were missing girls. She really spoke today for us, especially at the end when we really needed it, "she said. .

"It was a work in progress all week and we had to tell ourselves that we were going to get by without Maddy despite what the outside voices were saying and Helen was a key part of that."

The Swifts will travel to Adelaide next weekend to face the Thunderbirds, seventh, while the Giants will seek to pull together for Saturday's game in Sydney against the Melbourne Vixens, third, in what is a match to win absolutely .

NRL: HT: Roosters 16-6 Bulldogs – No surprise at the SCG with the Roosters using their afternoon outing against the Bulldogs in the back row to regain their form after three games without a win. The return of Latrell Mitchell responded to his critics with a try-back after just eight minutes before Joseph Manu and Sitili Tupouniua crossed to give the team a 16-point lead in fourth place. Will Hopoate dominated to reduce the deficit before half-time, but the Roosters hope to return to third place.

AFL: The way Australian sports competitions manage their crowds has become a hot topic of debate after the AFL's suppression of antisocial behavior. A series of fist fights filmed by social media has prompted AFL leaders to move on, but supporters and commentators are now worried about a too cumbersome response .

The management of Marvel Stadium will review security procedures after AFLvenue CEO Michael Green acknowledged that some fans were intimidated by the more visible presence of security.

With the crowd's behavior in the spotlight in recent weeks, the stadium management has reinforced patrols in the aisles by the guards, but the increased presence of these people has provoked a brutal reaction from supporters.

"This is clearly something we will have to look at and try to find the right balance because we clearly have not managed to do it yet," Green told SEN on Sunday.

NBA: I confess I do not know much about the NBA but I am not blind to the meaning of this "Woj bomb" of a commercial story.

Super Netball: 3QT: Swifts 42-43 Giants – An exciting final derby is scheduled for the Sydney Super Netball derby with the Swifts winning their first bonus point of the match to reduce the Giants deficit to one goal. Sam Wallace is becoming the dominant force on the field for the leaders of the standings.

Women's World Cup: There is still much to be done in France as the teams compete for places in the last 16 games. The Australian Matildas are back to play early Wednesday morning, as they will look for a result against Jamaica that will not only allow them to get the three points they need. reach the knockout phase, but also provide sufficient improvement in the goal difference to improve their progress towards the final stages.

NRL: Sea Eagles 34-14 Dragons

Manly superstar Tom Trbojevic played a leading role in the demolition of St George Illawarra by the 34-14 NRL of Sea Eagles to seal his return to the home state of NSW.

The Des Hasler team scored 34 unanswered points Sunday to inflict further suffering on the Dragons. They have lost six of their last seven games, stalling them before the break.

The Dragons dominated their possession of the ball early in the game to open an 8-0 lead, but when Jack Gosiewski was buried more than seven minutes after halftime, the local team led 16- 8.

Number 1, Trbojevic, won the match at Lottoland, eliminating any concerns about his hamstring problems that prevented him from going outside.

First, he pierced the line of Dragons and Cade Cust crossed the next room.

Five minutes later, he surprised a lazy defense to send Mainese Fainu.

Then he did everything himself, cleaning a grubber of Corey Norman and running over 70 meters to get a memorable performance.

In what was only the second game of his injury, he finished with 333 yards, one badist, two break-offs, two badists, eleven batting treasure and five dumps to announce that he was back at its best.

He seems certain to be named on the NSW side for Origin Two in replacement of injured winger Nick Cotric.

NRL: Some important information about the state of origin today with injuries prevented Mitchell Pearce from making his comeback for the Blues.

The return of Mitchell Pearce to NSW is complete even before the back half is declared out of contention for the second game of the state of origin because of an injury. The Newcastle Knights player was predicted that the team had to remember the Blues for the match not to be missed next Sunday in Perth, but the 30-year-old has succumbed to complaints in his hip and groin.

NSW coach Brad Fittler revealed that Pearce had phoned him Sunday morning – just hours before the revelation of the second match team – to exclude himself.

Golf: Brooks Koepka is not lagging behind to win a hat-trick of US Open titles but Gary Woodland continues to dominate the pack at Pebble Beach with 18 days remaining.

A win on Sunday at Pebble Beach would make Koepka only the second player, and the first since 1905, to win this major three years in a row. In 54 holes, Koepka, inspired by the negative forces, real or not, surpbades the 11 of Woodland by four. The importance of Koepka's potential triumph can not be overstated; The victory at this US Open would represent a fifth in just nine important starts.

Boxing: Tyson Fury remains the lineal heavyweight champion of the world after stopping the second round against Tom Schwarz in Las Vegas. Fury dominated from the start, showing incredible footwork and fast hands at his young opponent's school and raising expectations before a rematch against Deontay Wilder.

Super Netball: Firebirds 60-71 Vixens

The Firebirds remain without a win after eight rounds of the Super Netball season, as the Vixens continued their way to the Queensland State Netball Center final.

Under the watchful eye of Diamond coach Lisa Alexander, the Vixens reacted after losing the first two quarter-finals and crushing their hosts in the third. They dominated the score from 19 to 9 and took a lead they never let go. The visitors changed their defensive structure and formed a different team after the long break, led by star goalie Emily Mannix, who had five interceptions at the top of the game.

Caitlin Thwaites scored for Melbourne with 42 goals on 46 shots, in a performance boosted by six offensive rebounds. Tegan Philip contributed 29 of 34.

With the Swifts and Lightning, the Vixens are part of a three – team breakaway at the top of the scale at half of the regular season. The Firebirds are not in contention for this fourth and final playoff spot, but they will need a miraculous race to run in September.
