All babies are cute especially adorable, even in the context of official photographs, for the history books.

Portrait painter Matt Holyoak clicks on the four-part portrait, which shows the baby, born on April 23, in the royal lace baptismal dress. (a replica of the original 1841 worn by Queen Victoria's eldest daughter) and surrounded by her two families, Windsor and Middleton.

The dress worn by Louis in the photos is an almost exact replica of the clothing worn by Princess Victoria. Inspired by Queen Victoria's wedding dress design and believed to have been made of the same silk and lace, the garment was worn by 62 royal babies at their christenings over the next 163 years, including Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince Harry.

After the baptism of Lady Louise Windsor in 2004, the original dress was deemed too fragile and, in 2008, the hairdresser of Queen Elizabeth II, Angela Kelly, and the team of couturiers of Buckingham Palace created a new garment for future royal baptisms. ] The first baby to wear the new dress was James, the younger brother of Lady Louise, in 2008. Since then, it has been worn by the brothers and sisters of Louis, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, as well as by d & # 39; other royal descendants.
