Total Senvion order book in India exceeds 1 GW
New 300 MW order from Alfanar in the second half of 2018
Hamburg: Senvion signed a conditional 300 MW contract with alfanar for the supply and installation of 131 Senvion 2.3M130 wind turbines for the Bhuj wind project. Alfanar is one of the leading developers of clean energy in Asia, Africa and Europe. The wind project in Gujarat is part of series 5 launched by the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited, a company of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energies, of the Indian Government.
The scope of the project includes a full EPC and will be commissioned in the second quarter of 2020. alfanar and Senvion have also signed a full 10 year operating and maintenance contract. Once connected to the grid, this project will generate enough clean energy to meet the electricity needs of nearly 290,000 households.
