Wall Street will reopen Friday for a half-session after the Thanksgiving vacation. However, trade volumes are expected to remain low.

Asia-Pacific stocks were little changed on Friday as investors reacted to the data. China’s industrial profits jumped 28.2% year-over-year in October, the country’s National Bureau of Statistics said on Friday.

AstraZeneca shares slipped 0.6% on Thursday as questions were raised over how Astrazeneca and the University of Oxford tested their vaccine against the coronavirus, the head of the Vaccine Working Group of the White House expressing doubts about the trial data and the drug’s effectiveness rate.

More broadly, global equities retreated from their rally earlier this week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell Wednesday, catching its breath after passing 30,000 points on Tuesday.
