Westworld star Evan Rachel Wood shared a photo of self-inflicted wounds on her arm while she was opening about her assault during a violent relationship.

The 31-year-old actress posted the picture on Instagram, with the hashtag "# IAmNotOk", which seeks to raise awareness about domestic violence.

Addressing to his 545,000 followers, Evan revealed: "Two years after the start of my abusive relationship, I used self-mutilation.

"When my attacker threatened me or attacked me, I cut my wrist to disarm it, which only ended the abuse temporarily."

"The night before, I had been locked up alone in the room and I had not slept.

"Despite the frozen smile, I can see emptiness and fear in my eyes.

"We went to dinner later and he spent the whole evening reprimanding me because he did not want to go out, so I did not go well then and #IAmNotOk now."
