Scott Wolf, who played Dr. Jake Hartman over the past two seasons of the beloved family drama Everwood, pays tribute to his former television lover, the late Stephanie Niznik, who died at the age of 52.
Niznik's death was announced for the first time on Friday, although no cause of death has been reported. She died suddenly in Encino, California on June 23rd.
"It's heartbreaking," Wolf wrote on Twitter. "She was so kind and fun to work with her. I'm lucky to know her. Rest in peace Stephanie. "
Niznik was best known for his role as Everwood"Nina Feeney, immediate neighbor (and possibly in love) to treat Williams," said Dr. Andy Brown. Jake and Nina were mated shortly after Wolf's entry Everwood in season 3, but his character finally chose to be with Andy in the finale of the two-part series, while Jake left town without her
Vivien Cardone, who played Andy's daughter Delia, also announced the death of Niznik. "An absolutely beautiful soul who left too early," she said. "I am so grateful to have met, worked and learned from a woman so strong, confident, kind and amazing. Steph will miss you so much.
