Every American will be able to get a COVID vaccine by the end of June 2021, said Operation Warp Speed’s director of supply.

Every American will be able to get a COVID-19 vaccine by the end of June next year if they want, according to Operation Warp Speed’s director of supply.
The first doses of the vaccine will be rolled out in December for those most at risk after gaining FDA approval, and then slowly being distributed to the remaining public.
Lt. Gen. Paul A. Ostrowski told CNBC on Monday that there will be enough to vaccinate everyone in the United States by the end of June.

“We will have over 300 million doses available to the American public by then,” he said.
There still has not been a clearly defined distribution plan for how the government will distribute the millions of doses.
Last month Moderna and Pfizer – two US pharmaceutical companies – revealed their vaccines to be over 90% effective.
A third, by the British company AstraZeneca, is more than 70% efficient.
Moderna filed for emergency FDA approval on Monday.
Immediately, President Trump urged the FDA to act “ quickly ” to get the vaccine cleared and released to the masses.
But a recent poll by Pew Research found that only 51% of Americans said they would take a vaccine.
More said they would take it if it was recommended by Dr Anthony Fauci than if Trump and Nancy Pelosi approved it.
The vaccine deployment program is the largest vaccination the United States has ever had to undertake.

Some states, like New York, insist on self-testing the vaccine before allowing the public access to it.
Trump tweeted Monday: “ Moderna is now seeking emergency vaccine approval … the FDA MUST ACT QUICKLY !!!
“Operation Warp Speed was a great modern day miracle.”
Moderna says its data has also shown a 100% success rate in preventing severe cases. The filing establishes that Moderna’s product is the second vaccine likely to receive US emergency use authorization this year.
“We think we have a very effective vaccine. We now have the data to prove it. We expect to play a major role in reversing this pandemic, ”Moderna chief medical officer Dr Tal Zaks said in an interview.
