Everything we know so far about the new Warzone map

It’s almost time for Call of Duty: Warzone to get a new map, and here’s everything we know so far about what’s to come.

Warzone has enjoyed tremendous success since its launch in March 2020. With over 75 million players joining the fight, it’s clear Activision has got itself a winning product, but even the best games require change from time to time. .

After 9 months of the same map, despite slight updates every now and then, players are starting to get bored. Therefore, the leak of a new map coming to Warzone is big news for many fans.

Here’s everything we know about the new map leak and what it means for Call of Duty: Warzone.

Where is the new Warzone card game located?

According to new leaks, the new Warzone map will be set on Rebirth Island, also known as Vozrozhdeniya. Fans of the original Black Ops title may recall that Rebirth Island was a major plot location in the script.

Renaissance Island was a Soviet base, established in 1948, serving as a secret biological weapons facility. By the time of the Cold War, the facility was developing the German biochemical weapon Nova 6, testing it on animals and humans.

Weaver and Hudson raided the facility near the end of the Black Ops story to rescue Nazi scientist Friedrich Steiner for questioning. However, Alex Mason managed to assassinate the scientist before he was successful.

What will the gameplay look like on the new map?

Obviously, Rebirth Island is much smaller than Verdansk, where players are currently fighting for the battle royale. This leads many users to believe that the game will consist of smaller matches.

The island contains no greenery and very little open space. Instead, the industrial area is full of welded buildings to explore.

We imagine there will be a lot of close range combat here, and the island is also noticeably flat. It will certainly be nice to get some additional Warzone content, but we bet it’s not what a lot of players have been expecting.

Those who have played Black Ops 4’s Blackout battle royale are already drawing comparisons to the game’s second map. Located in Alcatraz prison, the Blackout map contained a very similar island style for you to explore.

Additionally, new file leaks suggest that Alcatraz locations will also return to Rebirth Island. Maybe this new Warzone map takes a lot of inspiration from its Blackout predecessor.

Of course, Rebirth Island will also be littered with weapons from the Cold War era. This means that there is a new meta to explore, although weapons will likely be present alongside existing player loadouts.

We will have to wait for further announcements, and players should keep in mind that this leak is not yet confirmed. However, with a few major leaks getting into the action, we would say this new location is very likely to arrive in Warzone soon.

When will the new Warzone map be released?

We anticipate that the new Warzone map will release on December 10, alongside Black Ops Cold War Season 1. That’s not the only thing we know about the new season, however.

In fact, the major leaks in Black Ops Cold War Season 1 are starting to drop, which makes for an exciting time to be a CoD fan. There’s even a new Cold War Zombie Map with Vietnam decor.

We’ll have to wait and find out more when Treyarch officially announces the next Warzone map. Incidentally, it looks like Rebirth Island is falling on the same day Cyberpunk 2077 releases.
