Examination of evidence in Tyreek Hill case completed

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – A lawyer representing Kansas City Chief Accountant Tyreek Hill confirmed Friday that the criminal investigation on Hill was over.

Hill's lawyer, Trey Pettlon, told Steven Dial, a journalist with Action News, that he understood the investigation was over "for some time now."

that his office had not intended to file a criminal complaint against Hill, but had stated that his office would consider the additional evidence, if any.

In April, on a local television channel, one day after prosecutors declared that they had been abused at Hill's Overland Park home, they could not complain because it was difficult to determine who had committed the crime, which seemed to indicate that further examination was necessary.

At the National Football League, Pettlon seemed to indicate that the league – and the Johnson County Attorney's Office – had obtained a copy of the registration.

In the recording, Crystal Espinal, Hill's fiancée, tells Hill that the boy, when asked about a wound on the arm of their 3-year-old son, said, "Daddy did it."

Espinal, pregnant with twins, also told Hill that their son was "terrified by you".

Following the publication of the registration, several media reported that the Criminal Investigation on Hill had been reopened, although the District Attorney's Office told 41 Action News at that time that it had been reopened. there was no "reopening" of the investigation.

Hill, who denied the allegations of abuse,

all activities related to the team.

An investigation is still ongoing through the Kansas Child and Family Department, but the documents are usually sealed in the family court.
