In an exclusive interview with ABC News, President Donald Trump continued his war of words with former Vice President Joe Biden. He thanked the Democratic Democrat President for overturning long-standing views, such as his stance on a measure banning federal funding for abortions.

Biden recently announced that he no longer supported the Hyde amendment, which prohibits the use of federal funds to fund abortions, except in cases where the patient's life, rape or incest were threatened. The law mainly concerns patients under Medicaid, which means that low-income patients have to pay for an abortion out of their pocket.
The former vice president reversed his position just one day after his campaign had declared that his position on the amendment had not changed – and after being heavily criticized by several of his opponents for 2020.
Trump's comments came the same day that Biden stepped up his attacks on Trump while they were both in Iowa. In his remarks across the state, Biden called the president "an existential threat to America" and "a real threat to our core values". Trump's comments came out on Tuesday, the same day that Biden said the president was presenting a "America threat."

As the 2020 race heats up, President Trump has focused his attention on Biden, whom Trump called "the weakest mentally".
"He wanted to be the tough guy. He's not a tough guy, he's a weak guy, "Trump told Stephanopoulos in his interview.
The first internal poll data from the Trump campaign in March, recently obtained exclusively by ABC News, shows that the president was behind Biden in three key states he had won in 2016: Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Florida.
Brad Parscale, director of the Trump campaign, said the figures were "old," saying "Since then, we have seen huge swings in favor of the president."
Nevertheless, Biden and Trump's attacks show no signs of slowing down. In a video released on Friday, Biden accused Trump of admitting during his interview with Stephanopoulos that he would accept information about an opponent from a foreign entity.
"Donald Trump does not think it's important if presidential candidates accept damaging information about their opponents from foreign governments, I think he's completely wrong.
