Bradley Cooper puts the “da” in Dada.
We are told that the ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ actor and ex Irina Shayk have such a comfortable custody arrangement that they both take their three year old daughter, Lea De Seine, to a special school in the financial district. every Thursday the tot takes native Russian lessons from Shayk.
The school promises “full immersion in Russian language and culture from an early age by creating fun learning experiences” to “anyone interested in preserving their heritage [or] add a new cultural experience. “
Shayk was born Yemanzhelinsk in the USSR – now in western Russia – but moved to the United States around 2007 when her modeling career took off after becoming the first Russian to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
Cooper and Shayk – who reunited in 2015 – had Lea in 2017, but went their separate ways in 2019.
According to TMZ, they struck a custody deal in January that called for them both to live in New York City in order to co-parents together, even though Cooper had previously spent much of his time in Los Angeles. The site said they would share 50/50 legal and physical custody, “although with work schedules it varies from month to month.”
TMZ also said it does not have a formal, written custody agreement. “They’re so in tune with co-parenting, they don’t feel the need to commemorate it,” he says.
The model recently told Elle magazine that Cooper was “the most amazing father” and insisted that – despite the split – they continue to be Lea’s “parents”, rather than “co-parents.”
“I never understood the term co-parenting,” Shayk told the magazine, “When I’m with my daughter I’m 100% a mom, and when she’s with her dad he’s 100% her dad. Co-parenting is parenting. “
