Here’s the scoop on where to find Xur in Destiny 2, what Exotic items he has for sale on November 27, and if any are worth the shards.
Following the release of the expansion and the launch of the latest seasonal content, Destiny 2 has continued to evolve last weekend. The final race of the world’s first raid started last Saturday, pitting firefighters against each other to take on the Deep Stone Crypt. In the end, Bungie confirmed that it was Clan Luminous that came out on top and claimed the first world title.
Similar to what happened after Riven was first beaten in the Last Wish raid, Destiny 2 has changed again with the appearance of new content and quests for all players. Players received a new Exotic Quest leading to the extremely powerful Heavy Sword The Lament as well as participating in new Exo Challenges on Europa. Players can also visit a brand new NPC in the heart of the Exo Science area, a huge exo head containing the AI version of Clovis Bray.

Even with so much going on these days in the Beyond Light expansion, players should take a minute to go find the exotic merchant Xur who is back inside. Destiny 2. Follow this guide for its location, news on its exotic encryption quest, plus a review of what it’s currently selling for the weekend of November 27, 2020.
Where is Xur?
This weekend, players will need to travel to the Tower Hangar to find Xur overlooking the snow capped mountains.
From the default landing zone, immediately head left and follow the path down into the hangar. After entering the hangar, head left again past Arach Jalaal and his Dead Orbit crew and go up a metal staircase. Xur is standing on a metal platform at the back of this room overlooking the mountain ranges below.
Class armor and exotic number
While Xur’s role is essentially the same as before the Beyond Light expansion, the Exotic Merchant also offers weekly quests that players can acquire to unlock an Exotic number. Not only are they needed to purchase a second intended Engram, they are also needed to acquire Exotic Equipment inherited from the new kiosk.
This week, players can earn a new number by making strikes and winning Crucible or Gambit matches. Earn bonus points by playing with clan members or completing more difficult activities.
Other than that, here are Xur’s three pieces of gear this weekend:
Phoenix Protocol – Warlock Chest Armor
A former prominent exotic item, the Phoenix Protocol is back on sale this weekend for Dawnblade Warlocks. Battle-Hearth gives Dawnblade Warlocks super energy feedback for any kills or aids they do while standing inside the Well of Radiance.
Fortunately, the Xur roll has this week on this exotic is pretty good. Recovery, Intellect, and Strength are all quite high, which is probably better than most current throws on the Exotic. Worth the detour.

Khepri’s Stinger – Hunter’s Gauntlets
The Egyptian-style gauntlets known as Khepri’s Sting are available for hunters this weekend. Touch of Venom is the Exotic Perk, and it’s intended entirely for Nightstalker players. The perk instantly detonates the Smoke Bomb and not only improves damage but also grants the player Truesight.
While not exactly a top item for hunters, these gauntlets likely won’t replace other Exotics or new ones recently added to Beyond Light. They are not a compulsory purchase this week by any stretch of the imagination.

Rampant Lion – Titan Leg Armor
Titans who need a bit of mobility and stability to do tough jumps will want these rocket boots. Similar to the St0mp-EEZ for hunters, the Rampant Lions come with the advantage jump jets which provide increased maneuverability in the air and allow precise shooting while players are in the air during the lift. Basically, these upgrades will help make the Lifting Titans jump twice as long.
Naturally, these boots are ideal for more platform-based activities like the new Exo Challenges, which have just arrived in Europe. Other than that, a player’s mileage will vary as they don’t offer a significant boost in combat like other Titan Exotics.

Exotic weapon
At one point this year, Hard Light was widely regarded as the most powerful weapon in Destiny 2, including competitive events like Le Creuset. It was preferred by most players for its rapid fire, high damage output, and near zero recoil. As these things tend to go away, the nerf hammer eventually fell on the weapon, reducing its effectiveness. These days, the weapon is vastly outclassed by other automatic rifles in the game, making it hard to recommend. The shifting elemental damage is sometimes useful, so the pistol remains usable.
For those who don’t know, Hard Light essentially shoots lasers thanks to its inherent advantage, Volatile Light. Cartridges fired from the weapon reduced damage reduction, overpenetration of targets, and ricochet from hard surfaces. The more they ricochet, the more damage they inflict.
