Facebook tinkers again with the news feed, but this should be surprising if we consider the feedback it receives whenever it changes anything. One of the most important aspects of the social network, the news feed is intended to connect users to the messages that they deem most relevant.
Even though Facebook has said many times in the past that the time spent on Facebook did not matter, but rather the quality of the time spent. Following this principle, Facebook announced new changes to the News Feed feature.
After conducting several surveys last year to ask users what messages they thought were worth it, Facebook decided to update the news feed accordingly. The updated news feed should therefore provide you with links that Facebook deems useful.
This does not mean that the news feed will be limited to certain people's posts and that does not necessarily mean that you will see more content from friends. Rather, you will probably see messages from those with whom you have close relationships in your news feed.
Apparently, these changes will be introduced gradually, but you probably will not notice them, says Facebook. There is no deadline for implementing these changes, but they are likely to be rolled out in the next few weeks.
