Having trouble accessing Facebook or Instagram on Wednesday afternoon? You are not alone.
The very popular social network has gone out early in the afternoon and problems have popped up on Facebook, Facebook Messenger and Instagram.
As with almost all Facebook crashes, users headed to Twitter with the hashtag #facebookdown which quickly became the main topic in the United States.
Downdetector.com, which monitors websites, has shown that the company has problems in much of the United States and Europe, as well as in other parts of South America and Asia.
We do not know immediately what caused the problem of Wednesday. Some users reported seeing a message that the site was down for "maintenance required". Facebook says the problem should be resolved soon.
