Facebook Rap Freestyle Platform BARS

Facebook launched a brand new platform called BARS, where users can record short clips of themselves rapping and freestyling to beats.

Like TikTok, each video will be limited to 60 seconds. After users finish recording their videos in the app, they can share them on various social media. Users who come across free styles that they like can respond with fiery emojis.

The app is still in its early stages of testing and doesn’t seem entirely intuitive, according to some sources. There is no pause button and it is not easy to figure out how to follow other users. But these issues will likely be resolved once Facebook decides to officially launch the app. In addition, the app will come with auto-tuning and rhyming dictionary features, coupled with freestyle games where users will have to work with automatically generated words according to their free styles.

In January, Instagram acknowledged TikTok’s innovation while mentioning that it was still not happy with its own Reels platform.
