Facebook pays people to monitor their phone habits with a new application called Study.
The application, launched on Tuesday, keeps track of other apps on a person's phone, how much time someone spends on those apps, who the person's location, and other data that might give the giant technology an overview of the features you use.
The company led by Mark Zuckerberg, which announced the initiative on Tuesday in a blog, said Study would see no specific content – text messages, photos, videos, passwords or websites – that you will visit.
The launch of this study comes shortly after Facebook's controversial Research application, which was eventually closed because it had been sold to teenagers and it was using a certificate allowing it to bypass and violate certain rules of the Apple App Store.

Facebook Study was unveiled Tuesday by the technology giant.

Unlike the previous app, Study will only be available for ages 18 and up. In addition, it will only be available on Android, where each user will be able to grant more in-depth phone access.
The application will begin with a series of invitations detailing the type of data collected by the application and its use, said the social network in his blog post.
"Addressing market research in a responsible way is really important – transparency and responsible handling of people's information has guided the way we've built Study from Facebook," the company said. "We plan to adopt the same approach with other market research projects that help us understand how people use different products and services."
