Mark Zuckerberg said he built an incandescent wooden box to help his wife, Priscilla, sleep better at night without having to check her phone to find out when it was time to look over their children.

The "sleeping box" emits a very dim light between 6 am and 7 am, when their daughters are supposed to wake up. It does not show the time because it would stress and disrupt his sleep, said the CEO of Facebook Inc. in a message posted on Instagram Saturday.

"Until now, it has worked better than expected and she can now sleep all night," Zuckerberg said, adding that the device was already popular with her friends. "I publish this information in case another entrepreneur wants to use it and create sleep boxes for more people!"

Not everyone was impressed. British singer Lily Allen criticized Facebook's effectiveness in combating racist content, asking if there was an algorithm for removing white supremacy.

Last month, Facebook Inc. announced its intention to ban content referring to white nationalism and white separatism, thus making a big step forward in the fight against racism and hate speech on the site.

The problem of white nationalism was magnified in March when the murderer responsible for the death of 50 people in New Zealand published a racist manifesto online and used the Facebook platform to broadcast live the massacre of two mosques.
