Fairleigh Dickinson senior has a special moment in the last match

No. 1 Gonzaga had no problem overtaking No. 16 Fairleigh Dickinson in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Thursday.

The Bulldogs beat the Knights almost instantaneously and won the 87-49 win at the Salt Lake City Vivint Smart Home Arena.

Despite losing 38 points, a former Fairleigh Dickinson was still able to end his university career in style.

Nadi Beciri, the six-foot-seven forward of the Knights, has been injured all year and has not played any games since November. So while he lost 40 points with just one minute left in the game, Fairleigh Dickinson coach Greg Herenda put the senior in the game's place.

Barely 30 seconds later, Beciri caught a perfect pass during a quick break and expertly finished the layup, causing a fault in the process.

Naturally, he and his team loved it – and Beciri wasted no time finding Herenda before hugging him in front of the bench.

What a perfect way to end your basketball career.
