Faith Hill and Tim McGraw have they listed a private island in the Bahamas?

A nearly 20-acre private island in the Bahamas has just been listed for $ 35 million – and it appears to be owned by country music stars Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.

Named The Isle of Angels, the sweet retreat was the subject of an Architectural Digest cover profile in 2017. The couple bought the island in 2003, but apparently would not have moved in until 2012. In the story, they admit that spreading in a private residence required more work than they realized.

“We decided to build a house,” Hill told the publication. “We had no idea we had to build everything else. We basically had to build a small town.

This included staff accommodation, infrastructure for construction crews, water and electricity.

“You don’t put it all together at the start,” McGraw said.

So, for a decade, the family – including the couple’s three daughters – stayed in yurts by the sea while the permanent home was being built.

“It was like camping,” Hill told AD. “The children loved it!”

The two yurts are announced in the list, marketed by Knight Frank, which adds that they were “initially built as temporary accommodation”. AD’s story further mentions that the home is a collection of eight “pavilions,” which in the list are described as “pods” which are all connected by nearly 5,000 square feet of covered verandas and walkways.

Knight Frank would not comment for this story. It’s unclear whether the couple still own the property, but a separate luxury real estate broker from the Bahamas – in a blog post published in 2020 – lists the island as theirs. It doesn’t appear that the island has sold since Hill and McGraw bought it.

Representatives for McGraw and Hill did not immediately respond to the Post’s request for comment.

Also known as Goat Cay, Angels Island has over 1 mile of waterfront. The main house is perched on a high point in the center of the island and measures 6,517 square feet. There is a large room for entertaining family and guests – and the living room opens onto the pool terrace. The listing images further show an open kitchen and dining area, private beaches, and a dock.

The listing adds that there are four bedrooms, five bathrooms and, at the north end of the island, some 6,000 square feet of secondary accommodation needed to operate the property. They include three staff houses, engineering facilities and mechanical storage.

The Isle of Angels is an 80-minute flight from Miami, according to the list.
