FLOWERY BRANCH, Georgia – The Atlanta Falcons announced Monday they have released their offensive veteran Brandon Fusco.
Fusco, 30, has started all seven matches where he was healthy for the Falcons in 2018 after signing with the team as a free agent before the season. Fusco suffered an ankle injury late in the season as the Falcons beat the New York Giants in Week 7.
This season, the Falcons have signed three attacking offensive guards, bringing in James Carpenter, Jamon Brown and Adam Gettis. Atlanta also used its first pick in the NFL draft in 2019 – the No. 14 overall – to select former Boston College goaltender Chris Lindstrom.
