Falcons reveal depth chart ahead of pre-season final against Browns

The preseason has apparently passed as we head into the final weekend of exhibition action. At this point, the Atlanta Falcons are 0-2, which doesn’t mean anything about what will happen during the regular season. They largely sat down their starters and faced a handful of setbacks, such as the recent season-ending injury to quarterback AJ McCarron, and have since added Josh Rosen

To end the preseason, the Falcons will host the Cleveland Browns in a game of uncertainty. The uncertainty comes from what we’ll see from the Falcons starters who have been largely absent so far. Fans may see tight end Austin Hooper return to Atlanta, although it’s unclear how many Browns starters we’ll see as well. The Falcons have released the final preseason depth chart, which you can check out below.

As you’ll notice above, there have been some minor changes to the depth chart as the team recently released five players and placed McCarron on the injured reserve. You’ll also notice the addition of quarterback Josh Rosen who was signed on Monday night and is currently split with Feliepe Franks as a replacement. It is not known which of the two will play first on Sunday.

Other than that, there really hasn’t been any change in the depth map. The preseason is largely irrelevant if you’re a newbie who is secure in your role, but everyone else is quite the opposite. For rookies, especially those who weren’t drafted, the preseason is everything and gives you the opportunity to show off your talents and what you can bring to the roster.

We wish these bubble players good luck as they dress up on Sunday, August 29 at 8 p.m. against the Browns.
