FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – The Atlanta Falcons announced on Monday that they accepted the terms of the contract with defensive tackle Grady Jarrett. The agreement comes before the 16 hours of the NFL. AND deadline for negotiations concerning players who have received the franchise badge of a team.

Jarrett, 26, signed the Falcons franchise tag earlier in the offseason, but a new contract ensures the defensive tackle will be in the range for the upcoming seasons. The former fifth round choice has quickly become one of the league's best defensive battles. And it only had a tendency upward during this period.
After a stellar performance in the Super Bowl in which he sacked the Patriots three times, Tom Brady, Jarrett has totaled 10 sacks in the past two seasons, including a record six in 2018.
Jarrett also is revealed to be an asset against the race for the Falcons, recording 179 tackles, 31 tackles for one loss and three forced fumbles during his four seasons in the NFL.
In addition to what he brings to the field, Jarrett is a leader both in the locker room and in the community.
Prior to the 2018 season, Jarrett was at the forefront of the Falcons' social justice initiative and collaborated with organizations such as the At Promise Center and the Boys and Girls Club of Thomasville Heights to promote the fight against bullying and talk about past experiences. This work and past community campaigns have led the Falcons to nominate Jarrett for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award in 2018.
